What is SOL?

A Sequential Outdoor Learning (SOL) Environment is a sequence of 9 exciting outdoor spaces especially designed to meet the needs of children and families facing the challenges of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other related childhood disorders.

These spaces are designed to be equally engaging for any child, making it a fun place for the entire family!!

Beginning simply and quietly, SOL offers a series of spaces that gradually increase in complexity, becoming lively and rich experiential places for children and families. Within each unique space, activities are sequenced in a manner that allows children to play at their own respective comfort level, and build on skills STEP BY STEP, in a nature based outdoor environment.

A SOL Environment, goes beyond the concept of an accessible playground, by creating common ground in an all inclusive, nature-based place where children and families can discover that no matter what their unique Diff-(erent)Abilities may be, they have much more in common with each other than they may have dreamed!
